Abstract
L’assurance et la gestion des risques sont des aspects importants reliés au succès des Jeux Olympiques, particulièrement en Chine où de nombreux défis étaient en jeu, et qu’elle a surmontés avec succès, notamment les problèmes de pollution, de climat politique et de sécurité. L’exposition aux risques traditionnels et spéciaux ainsi que le contrôle des risques sont des aspects critiques des Jeux olympiques. L’auteur examine, sous diverses facettes, cet événement qui s’est tenu à Pékin en août dernier, ainsi que les nombreux programmes d’assurance souscrits soit par le Comité organisateur, soit par les comités nationaux, soit par le CIO lui-même. Bien que plusieurs assureurs aient participé à différentes couvertures, l’assureur national en assurance de dommages PICC a été désigné comme l’assureur officiel des Jeux de Beijing.
