Abstract
Este artigo tem como objetivo investigar a Habitação de Interesse Social (HIS) no município de Trindade, dando ênfase nos empreendimentos viabilizados com recursos do programa popular de moradia Minha Casa Minha Vida (faixa 1), considerando a possibilidade de verificação de estudos de viabilidade urbana para implantação de HIS. Serão analisados especificamente três empreendimentos. Para isso, a metodologia apoia-se em uma revisão bibliográfica do tema e na comparação entre os critérios de implantação estabelecidos na legislação e os critérios de implantação utilizados na prática. Dessa forma, observa-se que nenhum dos três empreendimentos foi construído em localidades dotadas de completa infraestrutura urbana pré-existente adequada à nova demanda, permitindo concluir que mesmo quando se verificou que não havia essa viabilidade de infraestrutura, os empreendimentos foram implantados por meio de soluções alternativas, impactando nos custos e exigindo recursos do orçamento que poderiam ser destinados para a produção de mais unidades habitacionais, ampliando o objetivo da HIS.
