Abstract
Dalam interaksi antarmasyarakat terdapat campur kode diantara dua bahasa sehingga dalam berinteraksi, masyarakat di Kecamatan Bentian Besar menggunakan percakapan yang menghasilkan suatu ciri khas tersendiri yaitu campur kode bahasa Benuaq dan bahasa Bentian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan wujud dan faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya campur kode bahasa Benuaq dan bahasa Bentian dalam peristiwa tutur antar masyarakat di Kecamatan Bentian Besar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif, kemudian teknik dalam pengumpulan data adalah teknik observasi, teknik rekam,teknik simak dan teknik catat. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah ujaran di lingkup masyarakat yang ada di Kecamatan Bentian Besar. Metode yang digunakan untuk menganalisis data adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil analisis yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah: (1) wujud campur kode bahasa Benuaq dan bahasa Bentian yang terdapat dalam peristiwa tutur antar masyarakat di Kecamatan Bentian Besar ada tiga yaitu: penyisipan unsur-unsur berupa kata, penyisipan unsur-unsur berupa klausa, penyisipan unsur-unsur berupa frasa. (2) faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya campur kode bahasa Benuaq dan bahasa Bentian dalam peristiwa tutur antarmasyarakat di Kecamatan Bentian Besar meliputi: latar belakang kebahasaan (linguistic type) dan latar belakang sikap (attitudinal type) Dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa dalam peristiwa tutur antarmasyarakat di Kecamatan Bentian Besar terdapat bentuk campur kode yang berupa penyisipan kata, frasa dan klausa, selain itu terdapat pula faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya campur kode yaitu; latar belakang kebahasaan (linguistic type) dan latar belakang sikap (attitudinal type).
