(Abstracted from Sports Med 2023;53(9):1819–1833) Current recommendations for exercise during pregnancy largely refer to moderate-intensity continuous training (MICT), which has been shown by many studies to be beneficial to both mother and fetus by reducing preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, and depression. Although MICT has been shown to be effective, only 15% of individuals meet the recommended 150-minutes-a-week threshold for MICT; many individuals report their main obstacle as lack of time.
