Atualmente, a psicologia desempenha um papel crtico ao segregacionismo e controle de indivduos.Assim, a prtica de assistncia em um servio de acolhimento institucional objetiva considerar as subjetividades das condies de vida do sujeito a partir do estabelecimento de vnculo e elaborao de propostas de interveno que sejam condizentes com suas possibilidades de vivncia.O presente estudo relativo a um relato de experincia da pesquisadora em um servio de acolhimento institucional no municpio de Londrina/PR, onde est teve a oportunidade de acompanhar o trabalho dos profissionais atuantes no servio.em que se verificou que a autonomia e a reduo de danos so questes a serem trabalhadas no servio, ainda que as evases e sobrecarga do profissional fossem impeditivos da continuidade do trabalho.Conclui-se que a rede de apoio imprescindvel nos casos
