PDF | Atualmente, existe um déficit de sinter para os altos fornos da Usiminas - Cubatão que é suprido através do consumo de pelotas de minério de ferro adquiridas externamente a um custo mais elevado. De modo a contribuir para reduzir este déficit, foi estruturado um grupo de trabalho para identificar, quantificar e reduzir as perdas de sinter no peneiramento do Alto-Forno no2. Este trabalho descreve os passos dentro da metodologia de solução de problemas, utilizando o ciclo PDCA, para a redução das perdas de sinter no Peneiramento do Alto-Forno no 2. Os passos do trabalho foram basicamente definir o problema, identificar e eliminar as causas das perdas, executar as ações corretivas, monitorar os resultados e padronizar as ações de controle.
