PDF | A placa de aço é um dos produtos finais destinados aos clientes, cuja necessidade de controle de qualidade é exigida durante todo o seu processo de fabricação no Lingotamento Contínuo. A garantia de custo baixo de produção é outro elemento preponderante na produção de aço em um mercado extremamente competitivo garantindo a perenização da Empresa. O sistema de acionamento dos rolos motrizes dos segmentos, que fazem parte do sistema de extração de placa, é de fundamental importância para se atender os requisitos de qualidade do produto, placa de aço, e garantia de custos reduzidos de manutenção e aumento da disponibilidade do equipamento. Devido a esta importância e a necessidade constante de redução de variabilidade do processo, foi realizado um estudo de engenharia do sistema de acionamento dos rolos motrizes identificando possíveis pontos de falha que poderiam ser controlados através de uma ferramenta atualmente muito utilizada: a inspeção preditiva. Este trabalho apresenta, resumidamente, a sistemática implementada e os ganhos obtidos com a implementação de elementos de inspeção preditiva aliada ao processo de produção de placas de aço agregando valor à redução de custos, qualidade do produto, segurança e produtividade na área do lingotamento contínuo da ArcelorMittal Tubarão.
