Abstract
Malgré les ressources importantes mises en place afin de lutter contre le décrochage, encore trop d’élèves quittent le système éducatif sans diplôme (Secrétariat à la jeunesse du Québec, 2016 dans Bourgeois, 2016). Puisque la démotivation est un élément déterminant dans la décision du jeune d'abandonner ses études (Blanchette, 2006), nous aurions tout intérêt à susciter la motivation scolaire (Plante et al., 2013; Steinmayr et Spinath, 2009 dans Fréchette-Simard et al., 2019). D’ailleurs, des études soulignent la contribution des enseignants dans la construction du profil motivationnel des élèves (Bouffard, Brodeur et Vezeau, 2005). Nous nous demandons si la scène visuelle des documents présentés aux élèves peut agir à titre de stratégie motivationnelle efficace. C’est dans cette perspective que des données de nature quantitative ont été collectées auprès d’un bassin d’élèves de la sixième année du primaire. Des résultats préliminaires descriptifs sont donc exposés dans le présent article.
