Abstract
Na atualidade, foi crescente o aumento de cirurgias plásticas no Brasil, as principais causas são a melhora da autoestima das pacientes. No entanto, nem sempre as próteses de silicone ficam com as pacientes, pois, após cirurgias algumas pacientes possuem complicações como, por exemplo, inflamações nas articulações e dores crônicas, conhecida como a inflamação por ASIA (Síndrome Autoimune-inflamatória Induzida por Adjuvantes) e outras doenças que são consideradas autoimunes e com dificuldade de diagnóstico. O presente trabalho foi realizado por meio de uma revisão sistemática da literatura, que possui como objetivo sintetizar as informações que existe disponível na literatura sobre a relação complexa de complicações e as próteses de silicone. Existe uma relação entre a inflamação ASIA e as prótese de silicone, uma vez que as próteses liberam o princípio ativo que agravam a inflamação. Porém, não são todas as pacientes que apresentam tal enfermidade. O explante de silicone nas pacientes que apresentam algum tipo inflamação pode ser uma das soluções para melhorar a qualidade de vida das pacientes.
