Abstract
Abstract This short article tells the story of the beginnings, in 1974, of the Hungarian Studies Review, then published as Canadian-American Review of Hungarian Studies, based on archival material from the Nándor Dreisziger Fond at Library and Archives Canada in Ottawa. It also provides a brief historical context which explains the political background of the creation of the journal.
