Cet article relève plus d’un texte programmatique que d’un compte rendu de recherche spécifique. Il vise à montrer la nécessité d’une historicisation de la question des socialisations musicales, en particulier dans le domaine des musiques actuelles qui est apparu au cours du xxe siècle et a beaucoup évolué en quelques décennies. Basé sur un ensemble de travaux sociohistoriques, dont ceux menés par l’auteur depuis vingt-cinq ans (enquêtes de terrain en France et Suisse principalement), l’article met en lumière l’évolution drastique des conditions de possibilité d’une venue à la pratique musicale au cours des six dernières décennies.
