本研究はは、2022年に滋賀県で行われた「しがのふるさと応援隊」事業を事例に、行政の農村体験事業が参加者の地域への関心の変化や関係人口創出の可能性について調査した。アンケート調査とインタビュー調査を通じて、参加者の地域への印象が向上し、消費行動や将来の地域活動への参加意欲が高まることが明らかになった。また、行政主体の事業から地域主体の事業へ移行していくことの必要性が明らかになった。
