En el presente artículo abordamos el discurso de Salvador Allende del 11 de julio de 1971, con motivo de la nacionalización del cobre, en base a cuatro ejes: 1) Enunciación de la tesis histórica de una lucha popular prolongada, durante un siglo y medio, de las y los humildes de Chile; 2) Centralidad de la nacionalización del cobre en la propuesta allendista como elemento clave para la liberación nacional y el tránsito al socialismo: ¿una revolución ininterrumpida?; 3) La nacionalización va de la mano de una propuesta de participación real del proletariado en la toma de decisiones: carácter del Área de Propiedad Social (APS); y 4) Salvador Allende: presidente-pedagogo de las masas.
