Performance of a Savonius vertical axis wind turbine installed on astep
Bibliographic record
Abstract
Abstract: This study investigates the effects of installing a Savonius turbine on a step in urban areas. Since there is a complicated flow field around a step, the turbine may take advantage of accelerated flow found on top of the step. The flow field is solved using computational Fluid Dynamics in a 3D domain. The Finite Volume Method is used to solve the governing equations. Furthermore, SST k-? turbulence modeling is applied as well. This simulation is an integrated one which includes both turbine and the step. Power law wind velocity distribution is assumed as inlet velocity, which is more realistic in urban areas. The study shows that the turbine generates up to 73% more power if it is installed on the step. This improvement can present a way to overcome the low efficiency of such turbines.

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one teacher head, not a consensus.
