Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Abstract: In November 2020, the Quebec government announced a plan to double greenhouse production capacity by 2025. In cold climate, producing in greenhouses requires heating, which is mainly provided using fossil fuels emitting greenhouse gases that contribute to climate change. Different strategies are possible to reduce the carbon intensity of this sector such as enhancing the energy performance by implementing energy efficiency measures and/or using renewable energy technologies. One way to quantify the impact of these strategies is to develop numerical models using building performance simulation (BPS) tools. Models developed in BPS tools have been used for small-scale greenhouses, however, they do not yet exist for an ensemble of greenhouses. Such model is essential to evaluate and compare energy retrofit scenarios and sustainable energy-efficient designs at larger scales (cities, regions or countries).

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
