Abstract
A partir de uma perspectiva crítica sobre o ensino de arquitetura e urbanismo, trazemos aqui uma leitura sobre Curitiba, focando na contribuição afro-brasileira e suas espacialidades na capital paranaense, em específico, terreiros de umbanda.Esses territórios e lugares têm muito a contribuir para um pensamento contra hegemônico, buscando tensionar a dominação de referências arquitetônicas que têm sido baseadas, sobretudo, no Norte Global.O trabalho tem se debruçado sobre pesquisa bibliográfica e trabalho de campo, formando uma base de referências teóricas e constituindo, a partir de estudo de um terreiro de umbanda, uma possibilidade de tensionar paradigmas espaciais, teóricos, metodológicos e epistemológicos que regem o campo teórico e prático.
