Abstract
Architectural practices aimed at improving and producing popular housing have been more recently debated in Brazil, with Technical Assistance Law being a relevant time frame.However, specific discussions about the project are still urgent, especially considering the majority practice of housing production in the country: autoconstruction.In this sense, this article is based on two assumptions: (i) autoconstruction is a relevant source of strategies, and (ii) the theoretical-practical movement Open Building can guide shared design strategies between technicians, managers and, mainly, residents.Based on these assumptions, the article aims to present strategies for proposing a support-architecture, considering the perspectives and experiences of both technicians and residents.On the horizon of this proposal, it is intended to collaborate for the debate broadening on popular housing, generating design contributions to the knowledge field of architecture.
