Abstract
O envelhecimento faz parte do ciclo de vida, mas deve vir acompanhado com saúde e qualidade de vida. A pessoa idosa deve ser independente, autônoma e possuir otimismo pela vida. O objetivo deste artigo é descrever a funcionalidade de um grupo de idosos, conhecer suas atividades básicas diárias e a autopercepção de vida saudável. Trata-se de um estudo exploratório e descritivo, de abordagem qualitativa. A amostra foi constituída de 53 idosos, com idade igual e superior a 60 anos, que residem em um município do Estado do Pará, na região amazônica. Foi aplicado questionário semiestruturado sociodemográfico e de saúde com 10 questões objetivas, seguidas de três perguntas subjetivas, que foram gravadas e, posteriormente, transcritas. A análise dos dados foi conduzida no software SPSS versão 25.0, as perguntas gravadas foram contextualizadas conforme análise de conteúdo. A determinação de participar diariamente e permanentemente de um projeto de atividade física, durante a vida, mesmo nas fases finais, podem estar nfluenciando diretamente no processo do envelhecimento saudável da pessoa idosa.
