Abstract
Cet article porte sur l’expérience politique vécue à Montréal par des militants de la gauche chilienne appartenant à deux générations, entre 1974 et 2023. Il montre comment, après une première étape dans laquelle ils cherchaient essentiellement à trouver des appuis pour contribuer à l’opposition à la dictature au Chili, ces militants se sont progressivement intéressés à la vie politique au Québec et au Canada. L’article cherche à déterminer les raisons de cette évolution et identifier les apports réciproques survenus dans la relation entre les Québécois.es et les Chilien.nes, à travers le temps.
