Abstract
La théorie littéraire, et plus spécifiquement la théorie de la science‑fiction, peut‑elle nous éclairer sur les lectures féministes de la science‑fiction ? Le présent article répond par l’affirmative, en précisant que le rôle de la théorie n’est pas d’arbitrer les débats en livrant une interprétation faisant autorité, mais plutôt de mettre en évidence les enjeux des textes et des stratégies de lectures. Un examen des controverses entourant La Main gauche de la nuit (U. Le Guin), « Le règne des fourmis » (J. Wyndham), « Les équations froides » (T. Godwin) et Le Vingtième siècle (A. Robida) permet de faire émerger une série de questions concernant l’implication de la lecture dans la (re)constitution des mondes fictifs, l’identification des positions tacitement assumées par les récits et l’évaluation de l’incidence respective de l’idéologie et des dispositifs formels.
