Abstract
« Comment réaliser un équilibre entre succès historiographique et divertissement du joueur ? Résoudre cette question pourrait apporter un bénéfice majeur à la fois au monde universitaire et à celui de la conception » (Kempshall, 2020, p. 14). Le projet de recherche-création vidéoludique présenté dans cet article est une tentative de réalisation d’un tel équilibre. Après avoir expliqué en quoi consiste une démarche « historienne » de conception vidéoludique et quels questionnements elle permet d’aborder, nous présentons notre propre projet visant à explorer la façon dont un « matériau historique » est affecté par son intégration dans une œuvre vidéoludique, mais aussi comment cette intégration contribue en retour à la communication de la jouabilité.
