Abstract
L’objectif de cet article est d’établir une trajectoire historique du processus transformation, d’inscription en normes et en politiques de femmes, paix et sécurité dans le système de l’Union africaine. En se demandant quels sont les agencements juridiques, politiques et institutionnels pour intégrer cette thématique dans son action entre 2000 et 2023 ? Il s’agit de mettre en évidence la démarche de l’organisation pour la considération de femmes, paix et sécurité non seulement dans ses instruments juridiques, mais aussi dans ses différentes politiques. En effet, malgré les difficultés et le contexte, il est à noter que, l’institution inscrit dans ses principes, règles, son organisation et son fonctionnement, sa vision relative à femmes, paix et sécurité. Tout en démontrant les défis et les insuffisances de cette démarche, entre 2000 (année de création de l’UA) et 2023 celle de l’instauration d’un groupe de réflexion sur le lien entre les changements climatiques et femmes paix et sécurité. Par conséquent, l’on note une oscillation entre dynamique consolidatrice, limites et renforcement des politiques et textes établis.
