Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

This chapter begins with a brief discussion of Zero-Voltage Switching (ZVS) and MOSFETs, then present several example converters of various types, and end with a brief discussion on several miscellaneous considerations when implementing ZVS-pulse width modulation (PWM) in certain topologies and with wide bandgap devices. It briefly discusses the use of ZVS methods with wide bandgap devices. A ZVS turn-on is ensured by injecting current through an anti-parallel diode before a switch is turned on, while a ZVS turn-off is ensured by a paralleled capacitor slowing down the rate of voltage rise across the switch. The most commonly used approach to implementing ZVS in single-switch non-isolated DC–DC PWM converters over the past 30 years has been to use some sort of active auxiliary circuit placed in parallel to the main switch to help it turn on with ZVS.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
