Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

This chapter focuses on zero-current-switching (ZCS) DC–DC PWM converters that allow their switches to operate with ZCS. It discusses the operation and properties of a number of ZCS-PWM boost converters and states the strengths and weaknesses of each converter. Most ZCS-PWM converters that have a single main switch are implemented with an auxiliary circuit that consists of an active switch and various passive elements. The main weakness of the converter is that the negative portion of the auxiliary circuit current's resonant cycle is extended due to the larger inductance. This limits the operation of the converter to applications where the converter can operate under a narrow range of conditions with a large duty-cycle. ZCS-PWM converters are converters that use an active auxiliary circuit to allow their main switch to turn off with ZCS.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
