Abstract

Au sein de l’accueil familial, plusieurs modifications législatives ont instauré une logique de prestation de services entraînant les familles d’accueil (FA) dans une lutte visant une meilleure reconnaissance professionnelle et une amélioration des conditions de pratique. Cet article théorique analyse le processus de professionnalisation des FA québécoises à la lumière de la théorie de la reconnaissance de Renault. Il sera soulevé qu’en dépit de la reconnaissance législative obtenue par le Jugement Grenier, une standardisation des pratiques et un plus grand contrôle des FA sont constatés. Des dénis de reconnaissance subsistent alors pour les FA auxquels l’article proposera des pistes de réflexion.
