Abstract
À partir d’une perspective constructiviste et de données empiriques recueillies auprès de neuf mères innues, dont au moins un enfant a fait l’objet d’une mesure de protection, l’auteure met en dialogue le contexte sociohistorique des services de protection, l’empreinte du colonialismebio-psycho-spirit-social 1 au Québec et les trajectoires de mères innues.Plus précisément, l’attention est portée sur les expériences singulières vécues par ces mères au contact des services de protection de la jeunesse, à leurs rapports aux travailleuses sociales et à l’institution ainsi qu’à trois pistes prometteuses permettant d’accroître la sécurisation culturelle dans les services. L’ancrage épistémologique privilégié valorise les expériences, apprentissages et savoirs desparticipantes-expertes.Des extraits de récits biographiques sont présentés. Placés à l’avant-scène du propos, ces extraits visent avant tout à honorer la parole des principales concernées et à respecter leurs conceptions du monde, leurs vécus et leurs valeurs.
