Abstract
Abstract This response comments on the chapters in the preceding section on 'Narrators'. It notes how different types of user struggle to engage with archives and discusses the variety of obstacles they encounter. Although these difficulties are overcome in various ways, these different case studies emphasise the importance of the story-teller in our relationship with archives.
