«Excuse me, there is a queue here». La reacción de hablantes españoles e ingleses ante un ataque a sus derechos de equidad
Bibliographic record
Abstract
"The present research combines the analytical perspectives of cross-cultural pragmatics and variational pragmatics, and adopts Spencer-Oatey’s (2002, 2008) rapport management theory as a frame of reference. The main objective is to analyse the speakers’ reaction to a situation in which their equity rights are under attack. The source of data collection was a questionnaire sent to 120 Spanish and 120 English informants, which were analyzed using both qualitative and quantitative methodologies. Relevant cultural differences can be found, with a greater tendency of English informants to avoid potential conflict. As for the nature of verbal reactions, English informants opt mainly for the directive act, while Spaniards use both the directive and the reproach, with a greater presence of the latter. The most common formulation of the acts is mitigated, with an open preference for the use of the indirect speech act, particularly among English speakers. It can also be seen how cultural patterns intersect significantly with social variation."

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one teacher head, not a consensus.
