Abstract
Cet article présente ce qui a conduit le duo Hantu (Weber+Delsaux) à créer des mises en scène et actions performatives où il est essentiellement question de se déplacer chargés de réceptacles végétalisés. De tels dispositifs permettent d’interroger le geste du portage. Nous portons ce que nous partageons, un héritage, des revendications, des espoirs de changements… Ce geste atteste également de liens affectifs et de nouvelles socialités que nous pourrions développer avec les plantes. Mais le portage peut également conforter l’idée que nous avons le pouvoir de manipuler, déplacer, arranger le végétal à notre guise, renvoyant une vision passive du végétal. L’article développe alors en contrepoint du portage le principe d’adoption végétale, qui permettrait d’envisager la plante comme sujet vivant, de reconnaître son agentivité et de faire l’hypothèse d’une relation partagée, car l’adoption implique un mutuel engagement. À partir d’exemples d’expériences, de performances, de workshops menés par le duo, ce texte s’efforce de saisir dans quelle mesure le principe d’adoption est transposable au monde végétal et ce que signifie respecter, prendre en compte et en charge une plante, et réciproquement.
