El presente artículo, a través del análisis de las tipologías y desencadenantes de las violencias que se produjeron en la retaguardia republicana vizcaína, pretende proporcionar elementos de reflexión en torno a uno de los interrogantes más recurrentes en el campo de los estudios de la violencia: la variación en los niveles de la misma en contextos de guerra civil.
