Abstract
Cette étude s’inscrit dans le champ de recherches sur les sociétés littorales et portuaires des petits ports ruraux au xviiie siècle avec pour cible la micro-élite des navigants-armateurs que sont les maîtres de cabotage. L’objectif est d’étudier, dans l’espace du pôle caboteur qu’est le Golfe du Morbihan, en adoptant le dispositif méthodologique milieu, famille, génération, les dynasties et les fratries de maîtres-armateurs et leur stratégie de contrôle de l’armement des flottes de caboteurs, moteur de l’économie locale.
