Abstract
Cet article s’intéresse aux jeunes femmes arbitres de football et de rugby âgées de 15 à 24 ans. Il interroge leurs socialisations, dispositions et représentations. L’analyse des données recueillies, entre 2015 et 2017, par questionnaire et entretien ne permet pas de valider l’hypothèse d’une atypie de genre ou d’une socialisation inversée chez ces filles qui pénètrent des espaces sportifs connotés masculins, d’une part, et qui, d’autre part, optent pour un rôle (celui d’arbitre) en dehors de la norme et historiquement dévolu aux hommes. En revanche, les discours confirment l’idée de rapports de genre paradoxaux et ambivalents.
