Que l’on ne s’y trompe pas, à l’heure de la mondialisation, de la prolifération des échanges entre les continents, de la libre circulation des biens et des personnes, de la multiplication des flux de toute nature, la route, ou plutôt les routes, sont une incitation renouvelée à la guerre. Facteurs de progrès, mais aussi vecteurs d’ambitions impérialistes, elles sont depuis toujours des enjeux de puissance. C’est pourquoi, dans des guerres futures, qui seront autant globales que totales et où le sort des armes se jouera dans les sept espaces de la conflictualité moderne, le contrôle des routes réelles et virtuelles sera au cœur des opérations.
