Abstract

Our research focuses on integrating Laban Movement Analysis (LMA) with neural network technologies for analyzing conducting gestures. While promising, this approach faces challenges in realtime speed and adaptability. To over-come these limitations, we propose using tree ensembles, conducting LMA classification on conducting gestures with time-invariant transforms. This study aims to outperform the previous neural network approach in terms of time and set a benchmark for comparison, contributing valuable insights to enhance realtime applications in conducting gestures.
