Key Threatening Processes (KTP)Under the NSW Threatened Species Conservation Act 1995 (TSC Act) and the Australian Government Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act) anything that threatens biodiversity can be listed as a Key Threatening Process (KTP), provided it meets defined criteria.Here the discussion is limited to the TSC Act only.A KTP must threaten two or more species, populations, or endangered ecological communities listed under Schedules 1 and 2 of the Act, or cause species, populations or ecological communities not listed to become so.Vol. 13 No.
