Abstract
Une fouille préventive réalisée en 2018 dans le village de Sevrey, avant la construction d’une maison individuelle au 8 de la rue Georges Brusson, a permis l’étude de vestiges d’ateliers de potiers du haut Moyen Âge. Bien que l’emprise de l’opération se limite à une superficie de 270 m2, plusieurs dizaines de structures directement liées à l’artisanat de la céramique, dont quatre fours, ont été mises au jour. L’étude des près de 30 000 tessons recueillis renouvelle nos connaissances sur l’évolution des productions potières médiévales tout en permettant de préciser la typo-chronologie de la céramique de Sevrey. En outre, les études paléoenvironnementales, physico-chimique et pétrographique réalisées offrent la possibilité de mieux appréhender le contexte global de la production potière. Tout ceci concourt donc à un enrichissement considérable des données disponibles concernant le pôle de production de Sevrey au Moyen Âge.
