Abstract
Le concept d’agentivité est un impensé de la question de l’usage féminin de stupéfiants. La consultation des bibliographies ou de différents moteurs de recherche sur la thématique permettra de s’en convaincre : d’abord, force est de constater que le sujet des psychotropes est encore de nos jours principalement envisagé du point de vue de l’addiction. Lorsque l’étude se penche – rarement – sur les consommations féminines, la thématique abordée traitera de manière presque inévitable autour de deux pôles : la prostitution et la gestion de la maternité. Afin de dépasser ce diptyque certes important mais particulièrement restrictif, nous tenterons dans cette étude d’appliquer la notion de capacité d’agir aux femmes morphinomanes du xixe siècle, qui constituent la première catégorie type de « drogué·es » de l’histoire contemporaine.
