Abstract
Cette analyse textométrique, réalisée à partir du logiciel TXM, propose une relecture d’une pièce de théâtre franco-ontarienne où chaque personnage est caractérisé par le registre de langue qu’il emploie. L’analyse du lexique de French Town de Michel Ouellette (1994) met en lumière les particularités de la langue de Cindy, à la fois dans l’expression de soi, dans son vocabulaire et dans sa façon d’exprimer ses émotions. Ainsi, un calcul des spécificités révèle que les trois unités lexicales ayant la plus grande fréquence se rapportent à Cindy et leur analyse montre comment elle arrive à exprimer ses émotions, à défaut de pouvoir dire je.
