Abstract

Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk membuktikan secara empiris variable-variabel yang mempengaruhi kualitas pengajaran di Kota Batam. Variabel “X”, Persepsi Guru terhadap Kepemimpinan Transformasi Sekolah dan Kemajuan Kolektif Guru diduga mampu memprediksi “Y” Kualitas Pengajaran di Kota Batam. Satu set purposive kuesioner telah disusun dan dikirimkan kepada para Guru di Kota Batam. Sebanyak 300 responden telah ikut berpartisipasi dan yang mengembalikan 157 responden. Hasil olah data SPSS menunjukkan pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan 0.526 (adjusted R2) variable “X” terhadap “Y”, hal ini sesuai dengan penelitian sebelumnya di Malaysia, Canada, Inggris, dll., tetapi hasil olah data SPSS menunjukkan hasil sebaliknya 0.282 (adjusted R2) variable “X” terhadap “Y”, hal ini tidak sesuai dengan penelitian sebelumnya. Secara khusus, responden yang paling banyak dengan jenis kelamin perempuan (60,51%), persentase jumlah responden dalam penelitian ini lebih didominasi oleh responden yang masa kerja 2 tahun sebesar 29.94%, persentase jumlah responden dalam penelitian ini lebih didominasi oleh responden dengan pendidikan SLTA sebesar 47.77%. Penelitian ini dilakukan hanya di Batam, dengan variable independen yaitu Kepemimpinan Transformasi Sekolah dan Kemanjuran Kolektif Guru. Penelitian ini menyarankan agar dilakukan penelitian lebih lanjut pada variable yang lain yang mungkin mempengaruhi Kualitas Pengajaran, seperti misalnya komitmen terhadap visi dan misi sekolah, komitmen terhadap komunitas profesionaldan komitmen terhadap komunitas lingkunga luar sekolah yang mungkin mampu memprdiksi secara positif dan signifikan Kualitas Pengajaran di Kota Batam.
