Abstract
Cynolebias rectiventer é endêmica do Brasil, descrita de duas lagoas temporárias situadas em localidades próximas, em uma área de ocupação (AOO) aproximada de 5 km², na planície de inundação de um afluente do rio Verde Grande, bacia do rio São Francisco, no estado da Bahia.Em 2018, a 3 km de distância da localidade-tipo, foram coletados cerca de 10 indivíduos, incluindo casais viáveis, e muitos outros foram observados na lagoa.Embora existam ameaças difusas relacionadas à expansão da agropecuária na região, aparentemente sua população não se encontra em risco de extinção.Portanto, Cynolebias rectiventer foi listada como Menos Preocupante (LC).
