Abstract
De l’arrivée des premières consoles de jeux vidéo en France au milieu des années 1970, à la concentration de l’industrie autour de plusieurs consoliers au milieu des années 1990, l’industrie vidéoludique française connait des évolutions singulières. Les comprendre nécessite de s’intéresser à une figure peu étudiée de l’industrie : celle du distributeur et du revendeur de jeu vidéo. Décentrer le regard en direction de cette figure met en évidence plusieurs traits caractéristiques de l’industrie française : ainsi de la séparation progressive des fonctions d’éditeur et de distributeur, ou de la diversité des formes matérielles prises par le jeu vidéo sur une vingtaine d’années.
