Abstract
Par l’étude des pratiques dialogales des films Maelström de Denis Villeneuve et La Neuvaine de Bernard Émond, cet article questionne l’aveu, un acte de parole très présent dans les scénarios de films. Qu’il soit une révélation de laquelle émerge une intrigue ou encore ce vers quoi se dirigent les éléments du récit, l’aveu participe toujours à la tension dramatique au cinéma. Notre hypothèse est que la mise en scène de l’aveu, et de ses troubles périphériques, peut être à la fois l’un des éléments porteurs d’une intrigue cinématographique et cela même qui capte l’attention du spectateur. En reprenant notamment les concepts de mise en intrigue de Raphaël Baroni et de mise en phase de Roger Odin, nous proposons l’analyse du scénario de deux films québécois pour voir en quoi la parole échangée (ou non) peut être un véritable catalyseur narratif et un lieu de dévoilement de l’intériorité des personnages.
