Abstract
La récente effervescence du cinéma d’auteur québécois a su jeter un éclairage nouveau sur des territoires trop peu colonisés par la fiction. Ces nouveaux lieux de l’imaginaire, qui représentent un des plus importants déplacements du « mouvement », permettent d’alimenter une réflexion sur l’appartenance au monde et les multiples transformations du chez-soi. Le retour au pays natal, après les épopées des années 90 et 2000, passe par une exposition banale des territoires endotiques et des hommes qui les habitent. Nous proposons d’analyser le « vivre ensemble » du jeune cinéma québécois des dix dernières années — qui semble avant tout marqué par un « vivre ici » — à travers la lentille du geste technique. Faire un noeud, allumer un feu, construire un camp, démarrer une motoneige : le néoterroir expose et révèle certains gestes. Le texte qui suit met en lumière certains liens existants entre les multiples transformations du cinéma québécois et les déplacements géographiques observables en littérature. Situés loin des terrasses « branchées » du Plateau Mont- Royal et de ses trentenaires désabusés, les récits néoruraux de la relève littéraire nous font découvrir la grandeur comme la misère de petites villes de province. Source intarissable de microrécits, d’anecdotes de « récits d’origine », cette vision fantasmagorique du territoire fait cohabiter la laideur avec la magie du territoire rural.
