De Finetti’s control problem with a concave bound on the control rate
Bibliographic record
Abstract
Abstract We consider De Finetti’s control problem for absolutely continuous strategies with control rates bounded by a concave function and prove that a generalized mean-reverting strategy is optimal in a Brownian model. In order to solve this problem, we need to deal with a nonlinear Ornstein–Uhlenbeck process. Despite the level of generality of the bound imposed on the rate, an explicit expression for the value function is obtained up to the evaluation of two functions. This optimal control problem has, as special cases, those solved in Jeanblanc-Picqué and Shiryaev (1995) and Renaud and Simard (2021) when the control rate is bounded by a constant and a linear function, respectively.

Full frame machine prediction
Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one source (direct Gemma or distilled Codex), not a consensus.
