Abstract
L’historiographie de la formation du clergé local au Cameroun a fait l’objet d’un grand nombre de publications. Mais aucune d’entre elles à nos jours n’a été consacrée singulièrement à une étude de l’œuvre formative sacerdotale de la Société canadienne dénommée Société des Saints-Apôtres. Pourtant, les effectifs du clergé africain formé par celle-ci sont reconnus officiellement dès 1986. L’objectif de cette étude est d’exhumer une partie de l’histoire voilée de la formation des prêtres africains par des religieux canadiens au Cameroun en insistant sur les traits caractéristiques novateurs de leur pédagogie de 1966 à 1967.
