Abstract
Este trabalho visa evidenciar a contribuição histórica da Rádio Favela, localizada no Estado de Minas Gerais. O principal objetivo desta pesquisa é demonstrar os processos de lutas de resistência para manter um veículo comunitário, “nas ondas do ar”. Torna-se fundamental estudarmos esse veículo de comunicação, que por meio de suas características como instantaneidade e mobilidade diferencia-se dos outros meios de comunicação. Além disso, a união da internet com o rádio abre essa possibilidade para que ocorra uma reflexão sobre o passado, o presente e o futuro da radiodifusão comunitária, que em convergência com a internet tem potencializado múltiplas possibilidades aos produtores e ouvintes “amantes” do rádio.
