Abstract
Le but de cet article est de montrer comment se construit l’authenticité dans la culture geek, un mouvement de passionnés d’univers imaginaires et de culture numérique. En particulier, l’idée centrale est que derrière les critères et normes qui définissent un ou une « vrai·e » geek se trouvent avant tout des rapports de pouvoir liés au genre de ces fans. On pourra observer en effet, au travers de discours recueillis en analysant divers sites de discussions ainsi que d’entretiens qualitatifs, que les manières de mettre en avant une bonne façon d’être geek et de décrier une mauvaise sont liées à des représentations associées aux fans hommes et femmes dans leur version la plus typifiée.
