Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Multi-legged robot models typically use simplifying assumptions due to considering ideal robot movements, with limitations on capturing off-nominal motion scenarios. In this paper, we employ the Boltzmann-Hamel equations and the Screw theory to develop solutions to singularity-free whole-body modeling that includes coupling between legs/main body dynamics. The closed-form formulation makes the proposed approach well-suited for analyzing damaged systems and designing model-based control. The framework is validated with a Simscape model of a six-legged robot and is then used to simulate the unstable motion of a mechanically damaged robot. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method in modeling off-nominal situations.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
