Abstract
Este artigo sistematiza os resultados de uma cartografia de campo (MARTÍN-BARBERO, 2002) que norteiam a pesquisa radiofônica a partir de um levantamento exploratório nos anais dos Congressos da Sociedade Portuguesa de Ciências da Comunicação entre 2013 e 2019. O foco são os artigos apresentados no Grupo de Trabalho de Rádio e Meios Sonoros. O objetivo é caracterizar o Brasil como uma das principais referências na pesquisa radiofônica, o que quebra paradigmas e vai na contramão da hegemonia do pensamento eurocêntrico presente nos demais campos do conhecimento e ainda no fluxo de informações científicas. A principal conclusão é de que os estudos radiofônicos e de mídias sonoras feitos por pesquisadores brasileiros mostram que é possível uma epistemologia a partir dos saberes e práticas do Sul, lançando luz a uma jornada intelectual que não se limita ao Norte Global (SANTOS, 2007).
