Abstract
: This article is a slightly special because it draws directly from the source of one of the most recognized and titled Francophone personalities in English-speaking Canada. It is Hédi Bouraoui, whose migratory journey and writings about migrant literature date back to the appearance of Canadian multiculturalism, in which he and former Minister Pierre Elliott Trudeau personally took part. The federal policy of the latter, adopted in 1971, made Canada the first country of the world to have adopted multiculturalism. If the approach is honorable, Hédi Bouraoui recognizes however some excesses and tries to propose its close variant through the notion of “transculturalism”. The man being very old to this day, I felt that it was perhaps better to present his speech through the interview I had with him during several sessions ((Tours-Toronto, from January to March 2023) rather than to present an academic and theoretical communication..
